Map Screen - Addresses Dropdown
This menu contains the following functions used for modifying the addresses on your map.
How do I display addresses on the map?
Found on the ADDRESSES dropdown, this button allows you to display house locations on the map. You can choose to display all houses or select by several different criteria.
Click the Display Addresses button on the dropdown and the following screen pops up. You can choose to display addresses by selected grade, race, exception type, special needs, school, contractor, walk/ride and purpose. Only addresses that have students assigned to them that fit the selected criteria will be displayed. You have the option to change the color of the addresses. Green is the default color.

Click OK to display the address locations, or click Cancel to return to the Map Screen without displaying houses.
NOTE: This process could take a long time, depending on the number of addresses you have and the speed of your computer.
DISPLAY ALL ADDRESSES
If you click Display ALL ADDRESSES, then all houses that are located will be displayed, regardless if students are assigned to them or not.
DISPLAY NEAR ADDRESSES
Found on the ADDRESS dropdown, this button will display house addresses located on the visible map area only, not the entire map.
First, zoom into the map area where you want addresses displayed. Click Display Near Addresses and only the addresses in that map area will display. Use this function when placing unlocated addresses on the map. Knowing where all existing houses are located will help you to find other house locations.

How do I add/move/delete an address?
Found on the ADDRESS dropdown, this button allows you to add a house address to the system.
Click Add Address on the dropdown then click the location on the map where the address is located. A screen will pop up that displays the address number ranges on that road segment along with the prefix, street name, street type, suffix, address 2, city, state, and zip code of the location clicked on. You can change the address description or use the one that is suggested.
NOTE: Adding an address does not automatically assign a student to that address. Use the Maintain Student Address Tab to assign a student to the address created.

Click OK to add the address and a house symbol is placed on the map at that location. Click Cancel and no address is added.
NOTE: Once students are assigned to this address their names will appear in the lower table.
Found on the ADDRESS dropdown, this button allows you to delete or unlocate an address from the system.
Click Delete Address on the dropdown. Click on the house to be deleted or unlocated. The Confirm Address Deletion screen pops-up.

You then have the choice to Unlocate Address (remove the X,Y coordinates), Delete Address, or Cancel.
NOTE: You will not be allowed to delete an address if it is assigned to a student, school, driver, or contractor. You must first unassign the address and then delete it.
Found on the ADDRESS dropdown, use this button to move a house from one location to another.
Click Move Address on the dropdown. Click on the house to be moved. Position the mouse pointer at the new location for the house. Click on that spot and the house will be moved to the new location.
NOTE: The description of the house does not change, only the location of the house is changed. All students assigned to the house will remain assigned to the house.
Click this button to clear the display of all addresses on the map.
