Found on the MAINTAIN MENU, this screen allows you to perform several functions on zones and boundaries in the system.

Click [Zone] [Edit] on the menu and the following screen pops up.

Select a zone from the list by double-clicking the zone name or by highlighting the zone and clicking OK.

The zone boundaries are made up of a series of points. Each point on the map corresponds to where the zone shifts direction. The freely drawn Area Selection lays points on the map that correspond to where the border shifts direction. By modifying the points listed on the left side of the screen, you can fine-tune the boundaries of your Area Selection.
ADD POINT AFTER
To add a point between two existing curve points, first select the curve point from the list of points. Click Add Point After and click on the map where you want the new point to be added. The new point will be added to the list after the selected curve point and the zone will be redrawn to include the newly added point.
To delete a point from a zone, select the point you want to delete from the list of points. Click Delete Point and the point will be deleted from the list. The zone will be redrawn with the point removed.
You can move an existing point in a zone from one location to another. Select the point you want to move from the list of points. Click Move Point and click on the map location where you want the point to be placed. The zone will be redrawn with the curve point in the new location.
You can move an existing point in a zone up in order. Select the point you want to move from the list of points. Click Move Up and the point will move up one position in the list and the zone will change shape.
You can move an existing point in a zone down in order. Select the point you want to move from the list of points. Click Move Down and the point will move down one position in the list and the zone will change shape.

Zones can be configured to apply to specific school's Attendance, Rider or Walk Zones.

Click on Configure Schools. The following screen pops up.

Check off the specific schools that apply to this zone. This information is also displayed in the Maintain School Zones tab for each school selected here. This information is also used when doing an address search using iBusBoss™ to determine the student's rider eligibility.

This tab allows you to select vehicles where this area is considered a safe travel zone. If a vehicle travels outside a safe zone, an alert will be generated.

Edit Zone - Streets Tab
This tab displays all street segments within the selected zone. Clicking on a street segment in the list will center and zoom the map on the segment.

How do I set up a Zone?
Use this button to add a new zone. Click Add Zone and the following screen pops up. Select the type of Zone you would like to create. The following zones look at the location of the school to automatically calculate these zones:
- Attendance Zone
- Rider Zone
- Walk Zone

Click Next to continue, or Click Cancel to return to the Edit Zone Screen without starting a new zone.

Select the school in the list as needed. (Limited to 1 school in this screen, but more can be added later). Click Next to continue.
Add Zone Name and Color Screen
The zone names default to the type of zone created and the school it applies to (when selecting every type of zone except Other). You can change the name and the color as needed.
Selecting a zone type of Other brings up the following screen:

Enter the Zone Name and select a Layer color for the zone. Click Finish to add the new zone.
From here, you must set the boundaries of the newly created zone.
SETTING ZONE BOUNDARIES
To set zone boundaries, click the Add Points After button. Click the map where you wish to start the boundary line and at every point where the boundary line curves or bends.
As points are added, they will display in the Points Tab list and on the map in the sequence they are added. The zone will be displayed on the map in the selected color.
CHANGE/ SELECT ZONE COLOR
To change the color of a zone, use the Layer Color button in the Points Tab. Select the color you want and click OK. If the zone is already displayed on the map, the color will change to the chosen color. If you are drawing a new zone, the zone will display in the chosen color as you draw it.
Use this button to delete a zone. Select the zone you want to delete from the list of zones. Click Delete Zone. A pop-up will ask you to confirm the delete. Click OK to delete the zone. The zone description will be removed from the list and the zone display will be removed from the map.
EDIT ZONE DESCRIPTION
Use this button to change a zone description. Select the zone you want to change from the list of zones. Click the Edit Description button and a screen pops up with the description of the zone you selected. You can now change the zone description. Click OK to save the change.
NOTE: Zone descriptions must be unique. If you try to change the description to one that already exists, a message will pop up warning that the zone description is already used.
Using this function, an exact copy of an existing zone can be created. Open the zone that you would like to copy. Click on Copy Zone and the following screen will pop up. Enter a unique description and select a layer color for the new zone.

DISPLAY ADDRESSES FOR ZONE
Click to display on the map all of the addresses located within the zone.
DISPLAY STOPS FOR ZONE
Click to display on the map all of the stops located within the zone.
ZOOM TO FULL
When switching from one zone to another, click the Zoom to Full button to re-display the entire zone on the map.
SET RIDER STATUS BY WALK ZONE
With this utility, you can set multiple students to 'not transported' status based upon their home addresses being located in a walk zone.
Select which Zone(s) on which you would like to base the assignment of statuses. Click Next to proceed.

Select which students that you would like to set to 'not transported' status. Click Set Not Transported to finish this process.

This button will allow you to print reports concerning the specified zone. In the Selections Menu, you will be able to choose which Zones, Grades, and Schools are included in the report.

PRINT ADDRESSES WITHIN ZONE
This print option will allow you to print a listing of all addresses in the selected zone that have assigned students for the selected school and grade..
PRINT BY SCHOOL BY GRADE
This print option will allow you to print a count of students assigned to each school, sorted by grade for the selected school and grade..
PRINT MAILING LABELS
This print option will allow you to print mailing labels for every student that has a mailing address within the selected zone for the selected school and grade.
PRINT STOPS WITHIN ZONE
This print option will allow you print a report listing all stops in the selected zone for the selected school and grade.
PRINT STUDENTS WITHIN ZONE
This option will allow you to print a detailed report of students within the selected zone for the selected school and grade.
PRINT STUDENTS ASSIGNED TO STOPS WITHIN ZONE
This option will allow you to print a report listing all students assigned to a stop within the zone for the selected school and grade.
PRINT STREETS WITHIN ZONE
This print option will allow you to print a listing of all street names, address ranges, and city information for streets within the selected zone.
This report will allow you to print a report of any changes made to the zone.
